Check the process first
Specify tote dimensions, grasp edges, weight distribution and maximum load. Test partially empty and acceptably displaced totes. Measure the full cycle and throughput including battery changes and interventions. Define upstream and downstream communication. One generation’s performance does not automatically apply to the next. Digit 5 uses its own data sheet; earlier Digit deployments provide development context, not proof for your application. Suitability depends on workstation layout and representative trials.
Prepare data for the trial
- Measure task duration and frequency.
- Record requirements for the environment, people and load.
- Agree an acceptable intervention level and acceptance criteria.
- Compare the trial result with your current workflow.
