An onboard computer may depend on a specific system image, licence or manufacturer configuration. Before buying a part, agree who will restore the environment. Similar computing power alone does not guarantee the robot will work.
How to plan its use
Record system, application and settings versions and check configuration backups. Agree how data on the returned module is protected. Treat computing upgrades separately from restoring the original configuration.
