ORGANISATION

Robot servicing: remote, on-site or in a workshop?

Match the support method to the problem and repair conditions.

When to start with remote assessment

Remote work can organise incident details and available data. Agree which logs are needed, who provides access and for how long. This does not guarantee repair without inspection.

What to prepare before a visit

Identify the device, workplace, contact and available service window. Confirm the site provides the agreed working conditions. A specialist arriving without the right part may only complete a diagnosis.

When to consider transporting the device

A workshop may be needed for its equipment or disassembly scope. Agree robot protection, handover documentation and separate battery requirements with the recipient before shipping.

Compare the time to restore the process

Fast acknowledgement does not mean fast restoration. Compare diagnosis, delivery, repair and acceptance times. Plan for people or another device to perform the task while waiting.
