Robot broker, distributor or integrator?

Understand purchasing roles and who owns quotation, supply, integration and support.

Roles can overlap but are not synonyms. Contract scope and the named contractor matter more than a company label.

Broker: organising the choice

A robotics broker structures needs, compares solutions and coordinates supplier contact. This can include enquiries and quotation analysis. It does not automatically confer manufacturer representation or installation responsibility.

Distributor: sales channel

A seller is responsible for its quotation and supply scope. Verify authorisation for brand, product and region. Sales access does not prove integration competence, nor does a website logo prove authorisation.

Integrator: technical implementation

An integrator designs or connects process elements within agreed scope: tooling, interfaces, programming and acceptance. Clarify ongoing service; integration does not necessarily include years of maintenance.

Information to start

  • Quoting seller and invoicing entity
  • Installation and process-acceptance contractor
  • Parts, software and service responsibility

Deliverable to agree

Clear roles without assuming one label covers the whole project.

Scope, fees and responsibilities are agreed for each project. Catalogue listings do not imply manufacturer authorisation or partnership agreements. Equipment and delivery partners require availability confirmation.
